How the 14-day vegetarian reset is built
One breakfast dish and two lunch or dinner dishes a day, familiar meals that recur, and optional extras that stay off until you want them.
Daybowl is a 14-day vegetarian plan for busy beginners who want to know what to cook and what to buy. Each day asks one thing of you: cook the next meal. This post walks through how the two weeks are put together, so you know what you are signing up for before Day 1.
Fourteen days, three meals each
Every day in the plan has a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner. That is 42 meals across two weeks, and you meet them one at a time. Today shows the meal that fits the hour, with a selector for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner if you want to look at another one.
The everyday default
The everyday default is one breakfast dish and two lunch/dinner dishes. In practice, breakfast is a single dish, and lunch and dinner each pair a main dish with a side. On Day 1, that looks like this:
- Breakfast: Oat Porridge
- Lunch: Chickpea Salad with Roti
- Dinner: Mixed Vegetable Curry with Roti
Familiar meals that come back
The plan uses familiar recurring meals. Rather than a new dish at every meal, a handful of dishes come back across the two weeks, with a few others around them for variety.
Repetition is a gift when you are learning. The second time you make a dish, you already know how it goes.
Optional extras, off by default
Every meal also lists an optional addition, often a fruit bowl at breakfast or a soup at lunch or dinner. On Day 1, that is a Pomegranate bowl, Drumstick Soup and Ragi Dosa.
Optional additions are off by default. The plan you see is the everyday version, and the extras are there for days when you have more time.
Day 1, then the rest
Day 1 has its own title in the app: “Familiar meals, one step at a time.” Days 2 to 14 each carry the same three words: cook, enjoy, repeat.
Day 1, its recipes, its cook mode and its selected-day shopping list are free. Daybowl Premium, a one-time purchase, unlocks Days 2 to 14. One purchase. No subscription.
Moving through the days
Each meal can be marked Done or Skipped, or left as Not started. If a week does not go to plan, you can continue from another day or restart the plan.
Meal and evening-prep reminders are optional and local, and each is controlled separately. They stop after Day 14. After Day 14, Today offers your favorites and curated pairings.
What the plan is not
Every plan day in Daybowl carries the same note: “Food education only. Consult a qualified clinician for medical or prescribed diet needs.”
The reset is a practical way to organize two weeks of vegetarian cooking. It is food education and cooking organization, and it does not promise any result.
